More than 200 different personalities in South Kurdistan signed the launching document of a new national project for the unity of the Kurdish people. In a short time, many political parties and different centers supported the project. The Interim Committee of the project made another call.
The call stated that the achievement of every nation’s rights depends on that nation’s goals and unity, saying: “For this reason, the unity and single voice of the Kurds at this stage is no longer merely a political or party option. On the contrary, it is a historical, national, and social necessity in order to define and prepare for a new situation that contains both historical opportunities and dangers.”
The call added that the support given to the Kurdish cause so far has been a source of joy and gratitude, and said: “With a sense of responsibility toward the legitimate Kurdish issue, we see this as an opportunity to once again call on parties, intellectuals, cultural centers, individuals, and all citizens to show their support for this national project and to take a step together toward a better and more hopeful future.
Let us prepare to organize a joint conference in order to discuss determining a plan and work program for the success and stability of the project’s mechanism, which is based on internal and external peace.”
