The Alliance of the Iranian Kurdistan Political Parties issued a call to the international community. The statement said: “Since the beginning of the conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq has been targeted hundreds of times by missile and drone attacks. In these attacks, the bases of Iranian Kurdistan political parties and the civilian camps of these parties in the Kurdistan Region have also been targeted. In the latest attack, a Peshmerga of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan named Omid Veisi and two Peshmerga members of the Khabat Organization of Iranian Kurdistan, Fakhraddin Moradi and Iqbal Salhi, were killed.”
The Alliance said it “strongly condemns the missile and drone attacks by the Islamic Republic and the terrorist groups affiliated with this regime against the Kurdistan Region. These attacks have targeted places where civilian Iranian Kurdish refugees live in the region. The alliance also condemns attacks on consulates and political offices of different countries in the Kurdistan Region. At the same time, it calls on the international community to take practical action against the continued attacks of this regime and its militias.”
The Alliance stated “that the Islamic Republic, inside the country, tries to suppress protests through mass killings of protesters and by detaining large numbers of Kurdish people. Outside its borders, it attempts to extend the life of its rule by creating crises, fuelling wars, and spreading instability.
Therefore, countries and the international community should support the people of Iran and their legitimate rights and demands. They should also stand against the Islamic Republic’s attacks on civilians in the Kurdistan Region and other countries in the region.”
