Remains of ANF director Osman Kılıç arrive in Amed

Osman Kılıç (Gûndî), director of Firat News Agency (ANF) and a martyr of the free media, who passed away on March 12 in the city of Tiel in the Netherlands, was brought by plane to Diyarbakır Airport. Kılıç’s remains were received by his family, the Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG), the Mesopotamia Women Journalists Association (MKG), as well as representatives of political parties and civil society organizations.

The coffin, carried on the shoulders of journalists, was draped with a yellow-red-green flag. Accompanied by the slogan “Şehîd namirin” (“Martyrs never die”), the body was sent on its way to Misirc (Kurtalan) district of Sêrt, Kılıç’s hometown.

Kılıç will be buried in Misirc.
