The Kurdistan Human Rights Network reported that after the U.S. and Israel carried out an हमला on one of the Basij centers linked to the Revolutionary Guards, the walls of numerous houses and workplaces around Mahabad Prison were damaged.
According to the network, after the attack, prisoners inside the facility burned their blankets to protest being kept in detention under the current conditions. It was stated that Iranian forces intervened by firing tear gas at the prisoners.
Meanwhile, families of the prisoners gathered outside the prison to learn about the fate of their children. Authorities announced that some prisoners are being released on bail, while others are being freed temporarily.
It was also reported that following the recent increase in attacks against Iran, conditions for prisoners held in the prisons of Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan) have further deteriorated.
