The General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, and the Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES), Ilham Ehmed, held a meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein within the framework of the Munich Conference.
During the meeting, the situation in Syria, the future of the political process, the importance of preserving the achievements in North and East Syria, counterterrorism files, and ensuring regional stability were discussed.
The parties also addressed the importance of a political solution to the Syrian crisis, safeguarding Syria’s territorial integrity, guaranteeing the rights of all components within a democratic framework, and preserving the distinct characteristics of the Kurdish regions.
