Due to attacks carried out by Turkish-backed HTS-ISIS militias affiliated with the Syrian transitional government at the beginning of January, thousands of families from the countryside of Raqqa, Tabqa, and Kobanê were forced to flee to Kobanê city center.
Families who have taken shelter in schools, kindergartens, shops, and similar places are facing serious hardships due to dwindling resources. The ongoing siege imposed on Kobanê by armed groups affiliated with the Syrian transitional government has further deepened the already existing challenges.
Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor a Kurd visited the forcibly displaced families and provided medical treatment to those suffering from health problems.
