As part of the Munich Security Conference, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi and the Co-Chair of the Autonomous Administration’s Department of Foreign Relations, Ilham Ehmed, continue their diplomatic engagements with country representatives, leaders, and officials.
Abdi and Ehmed met with members of the U.S. Congress at the conference venue. The meeting reportedly included assessments and discussions on the developments in Rojava and Syria. The Foreign Minister of the Syrian transitional government, Asaad Hassan al-Shibani, was also present.
In addition, Abdi and Ehmed held a separate meeting with former Iraqi President and UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Barham Salih.
Yesterday evening, Abdi and Ehmed met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and French President Emmanuel Macron.
