A delegation from the Syrian transitional government visited the Rimêlan Oil Fields Administration within the framework of the agreement reached on 29 January between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian transitional government.
The transitional government delegation consisted of Border and Airports Security Director Ehmed El Ehmed, Deputy Head of the General Authority of Civil Airports Emced Nexal, Director of Institutional Relations Sefwan Şêx Ehmed, Vice President of the Syrian Oil Company Welîd El Yûsif, Oil Fields Officer Xalid Elêc, Syrian Oil Company engineer Elî Qurunful, and Implementation Support Officer Macid Hebîb.
The transitional government delegation was received by the Rimêlan Oil Fields delegation, composed of General Director Ehmed Îbrahîm, Deputy Director for Oil Affairs Diyab Xelêf, Deputy Director for Financial Affairs Ebdulselman, and Deputy Director for Professional Affairs Îsam Kurdî.
The meeting was held behind closed doors at the Oil Fields Administration headquarters in Rimêlan. According to sources, both sides discussed the working mechanism of the administration.
In a press statement afterward, Welîd El Yûsif thanked the Rimêlan Administration and the Autonomous Administration for their efforts to protect all wells and equipment.
El Yûsif said, “We thank you for the efforts made to protect the oil facilities. We look forward to cooperation that will benefit everyone. Our goal is a unified Syria for all. Oil is a national asset for all the people of Syria.”
The talks are part of a series of technical missions aimed at implementing the agreement of 29 January, which envisages gradual integration and coordination between institutions of the transitional government and the Autonomous Administration. On Sunday, 8 February, a meeting was held at Qamishlo Airport within this framework.
