Mihemed Hebîbî, spokesperson for the Coordinating Council of the Iranian Teachers’ Union, made a statement on his official X account regarding the students killed during the latest protests in Iran and Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan).
Reporting that Iranian state forces killed 200 students, Mihemed Hebîbî said: “With the killing of students, classrooms are no longer the same; they are left empty. This shows that the crimes committed by the authorities have reached even educational institutions. These children had dreams and lives. But the authorities decided on their killing. The government responded to the people’s demands with bullets.”
Mihemed Hebîbî added that the slain students will never be forgotten and that they will not allow these crimes to be covered up until justice is served.
