Displaced people: We will resist despite all hardships

Displaced people who have been placed in schools in Kobanê spoke to ANHA about the anniversary of Kobanê’s liberation and the hardships they are experiencing.

Şêx Mihemed said they will resist with all their strength and defeat the enemy, adding: “Today marks the 11th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Kobanê from ISIS gangs. In the past, we resisted the attacks of ISIS gangs with all our strength and defeated them. Today as well, we will once again defeat all enemies of the Kurdish people and protect Kobanê from the attacks of all gangs.”

Emphasizing that the people are living under great hardship, Şêx Mihemed said: “Kobanê is under siege. There is no water, food, drink, or internet. Despite all these difficulties, we will not give up resistance. We will resist until the last drop of our blood.”

Kurdish people must rise up for Kobanê

Eyşe Ebo said they want to return to their homes and lands, adding: “We want all Kurdish people in Kurdistan to join hands and rise up for the city of Kobanê. Everyone should open their eyes to Kobanê and to the suffering of the people of Kobanê.”

Stating that they have endured constant displacement and suffering, Eyşe stressed that no one should remain silent anymore in the face of enemy attacks and massacres.

Mihemed Ismaîl also said they will always resist, concluding: “We will always stand behind our fighters and resist. We have been forced into displacement and are experiencing many hardships of life. But despite all the difficulties, we will resist, and we will not leave the land of Kobanê.”
