Heating support for resistance fighters in Dêrik: 100 stoves produced

Within the framework of the “Mobilization” declared by the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in response to intensified attacks on the region by ISIS–HTS and Turkish state–affiliated militias, public mobilization continues across the region.

At a time when freedom fighters are on the front lines, the local population is also joining the mobilization in various ways. Some residents take part in street and neighborhood watches, others prepare food for the fighters, and others take on different forms of support work.

One such example of solidarity took place in the city of Dêrik in the Cizire Canton. Diyar Ebdulqadir produced and distributed approximately 100 stoves so that residents standing guard in the city could keep warm in cold weather conditions.

Ebdulqadir stated that the stoves he produced operate on waste oil used in vehicles instead of diesel fuel. He explained that their aim is to ensure that residents on duty—especially during late hours and in cold weather—are able to stay warm.
