The people of Dirbesiyê city in the Cizîrê Canton of North and East Syria, announced that they have joined the general mobilization declared by the Democratic Autonomous Administration in response to the attacks by the occupying Turkish state and the HTS and ISIS militias. In a statement on Sunday, they affirmed that they will defend their neighborhoods and their city against the attacks.
The press statement, read aloud by Xelîl Qado, a resident of Dirbesiyê, emphasized that the people of Dirbesiyê are united in the face of attacks by the occupying Turkish state and HTS–ISIS militias. Expressing their determination to defend their city, the residents stressed that the people will not surrender and will continue to protect their land despite all the challenges they face.
The residents of Dirbesiyê also saluted the support shown by the people in the four parts of Kurdistan and abroad and called for the continuation of the struggle until the legitimate rights of the people of Rojava are achieved.
The group underlined that the people of Rojava are firmly attached to their land and will defend it to the very end. Noting that the resistance against ISIS in Kobanê serves as an example, they affirmed that the land will be defended with the same determination today.
