Despite the severe cold and snow, the people of Rojava are fulfilling their duty to protect their cities and regions and are complying with the mobilization decision.
Following the attacks carried out by militias affiliated with the occupying Turkish state, ISIS, and HTS since January 6, the local people in the villages and cities in the region have taken action to protect their neighborhoods and homes.
Mihemed Ali, a resident of Qamishlo, said that residents poured into the streets to defend their neighborhoods, adding, “The people mobilized to support the military forces and protect society against the attacks directed at our population.”
Ali stressed that: “Neither the severe winter cold nor any other circumstances can prevent the city’s residents from fulfilling their duties. Protecting Qamishlo is a responsibility that rests on the shoulders of the entire community.”
Ali greeted the young people from South, East, and North Kurdistan who responded to the call for mobilization and came to Rojava, calling on all Kurdish youths to join the general mobilization to defend Rojava.
