People’s Caravan heading to Rojava

Attacks on Rojava by the Turkish state, ISIS, and HTS gangs continue. RiseUp4Rojava, a network of revolutionary collectives in solidarity with the Rojava Revolution, has launched the People’s Caravan campaign as part of a mobilization, calling on different segments of society around the world to go to Rojava.

The People’s Caravan issued the following statement:

“The Rojava Revolution is under an existential threat. Colani, the leader of Syria’s new jihadist regime, is demanding that the Kurds and the peoples of North and East Syria surrender everything they have built.

As people from all organizations, ages, and countries; as women, young people, internationalists, journalists, teachers, healthcare workers, revolutionaries, international and humanitarian aid organizations, and everyone who wants to create a free life in all regions of the world, we call on you to join us in a convoy heading toward the borders of Rojava.

These borders imposed by authoritarian regimes are being torn down from all sides as the Kurdish people, in solidarity with all the peoples of North and East Syria, mobilize. Now we must join them and go to the border of Kobanê, the historic symbol of resistance against ISIS, liberated in 2014 by courageous women and men. Kobanê is currently under siege and once again faces the threat of being captured by fascist Islamist gangs.”

According to information shared on its Instagram account, gatherings to head to Rojava will begin as of today via four different routes. Participants will gather in Northeast Germany, Southwest Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Poland, and Slovakia, and then travel on to Rojava. The contact details provided for those who want to join, support, or assist the campaign are as follows:
