Fighters of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) who are on the front lines in the northern Syrian city of Hesekê issued a statement, saying that it is time to stand up for honor as a struggle is being waged for the people and the country.
Sending their greetings to all their comrades on the front lines and to the people in Hesekê, YPJ fighters said the following: “We are all fighting for our people and our country. If there is a life, it is meant to be an honorable one, for which we are fighting. We do not accept a dishonorable life. Let everyone join the general mobilization and defend our lands together. Let us stand side by side and resist for our land. Let us defend and fight for our honor to the end. Now is the time for resistance. Everyone should join the general mobilization for Kurdistan. Let us fight together.”
The message ended with the slogans, “Long live Leader Öcalan, Long live the resistance of the YPJ.”
