Protests in Europe and around the world in solidarity with Rojava – NEW

Thousands of Kurds and their friends in Europe and the rest of the world have taken to the streets since last night in solidarity with Rojava.

On Tuesday more demonstrations are taking place around Europe.

TRONDHEIM

A mass march was organized by the Kurdistan Cultural Association in the Norwegian city of Trondheim in solidarity with Rojava and Rojhilat.

BELLINZONA

In the city of Bellinzona, in Ticino Canton, a demonstration protested the attacks against Rojava.

TOULOUSE

Young people in Toulouse staged a silence protest in solidarity with Rojava.

OSLO

Hundreds of people from Kurdistan and their supporters held a spontaneous protest in front of the parliament building in Oslo, denouncing the intense attacks on Rojava and calling on the international community to take action to protect civilians.

GENEVA

People from Kurdistan and their supporters took to the streets in many cities across Switzerland to protest the attacks on Rojava, showing support for the resistance through day-long actions.

BASEL
Protests held in six cities called on the international community to assume urgent responsibility.

ZURICH

In Zurich, Kurds joined socialist and anarchist groups with their own contingent during a protest organized in response to the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 meetings, which began today in Davos and will continue until January 23. The crowd, gathered at Bürkliplatz, repeatedly chanted “Bijî Berxwedana Rojava” (Long Live the Rojava Resistance).

BERN

In Bern, Kurds and their supporters gathered in front of the Federal Parliament building to strongly condemn the attacks on Rojava and Rojhilat. Speaking on behalf of the PYD, Gulîstan Sado emphasized that they would stand in support of the Rojava resistance.

EDINBURGH

In Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, thousands of Kurdistanis protested the attacks on Rojava, responding to the silence of the international community by saying, “ISIS is returning not because it is strong, but because the world is weak.”

LIVERPOOL

Kurds and their friends organized a press statement in Liverpool.

CANADA

The attacks carried out by gangs of the Turkish state–backed Damascus Interim Government were protested by people from Kurdistan and their supporters living in many cities across Canada. Ongoing actions in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, and Ottawa have been growing for days, with the call for “continuous resistance until Rojava is liberated.”
