Attacks on Deir Hafer kill a child and an elderly

Turkish-backed militias affiliated with the Syrian transitional government targeted the district of Deir Hafer in the self-governing canton of Tabqa on Saturday night.

The artillery and rocket attacks targeted a residential building near Al-Fadawi Hospital in the city center and the surrounding area.

Fatime el Ehmet (11) and Ebduletîf El Şêx El Hisên (65) were killed in the attacks, while many other civilians were reported wounded, including 16-year-old Hemîde Hilal.

Deir Hafer is part of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES) and is located about 50 kilometers east of Aleppo. On Thursday, six people were killed there in drone and artillery attacks, including three children. The attack was carried out by militias of the so-called transitional government in Damascus.
