Turkish state–backed armed groups affiliated with the Syrian interim government continue to intensify their attacks and bombardment on the Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid neighborhoods of Aleppo.
According to ANHA, in the attacks targeting civilian residential areas and infrastructure, a civilian named Osman Îbrahîm Misirî was killed, while Cemîl Ebduselam Rezo (45) was wounded.
Since the attacks began on January 6, a total of 8 civilians—2 of them children—have been killed, and 55 civilians have been wounded.
Attacks continue
At the time this report was being prepared for publication, the Internal Security Forces stated in a written announcement that the attacks were ongoing, reporting that five artillery shells had been fired at the Shiqêf neighborhood, and that no information was yet available regarding the outcome of those attacks.
