SDF arrests a mercenary belonging to the “bombing” cell of ISIS in Raqqa

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in cooperation with the International Coalition, conducted a successful security operation in the village of Mashlab, near Raqqa, targeting and arresting a member of the ISIS terrorist organization.

According to the SDF Press Center, the operation followed the collection of precise intelligence, which led to a tight security cordon being established around the hideout of the terrorist, Khalaf Hussein Ibrahim al-Eid. SDF forces were able to apprehend him without any casualties and seized a number of weapons, ammunition, communication equipment, and personal documents in his possession.

During the initial investigations, the arrested terrorist confessed to belonging to the “bombing” cell of the ISIS terrorist organization, and his involvement in carrying out many terrorist acts, as he worked on manufacturing and planting explosive devices and using them against the SDF and the international coalition forces, as well as his involvement in distributing explosive materials to the terrorist organization’s cells.

“Our forces affirm their continued pursuit of ISIS terrorist cells through high-speed security and military operations, as part of their efforts to dismantle terrorist cells and enhance security and stability in our regions,” said the SDF statement.
