President and AKP chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements following the Cabinet meeting. Referring to Turkey’s “deep-rooted state tradition and the resilience of the nation,” Erdoğan said: “Turkey will inevitably achieve its goals, sooner or later.”
Speaking also about the ongoing Peace and Democratic Society Process, Erdoğan stated that the process “aims to remove the biggest obstacles to economic growth, peace, and brotherhood.” He said the process would open the door to a new era.
Emphasizing a shared history with the Kurdish, Arab, and Turkmen communities, Erdoğan said the region is now “fed up with bloodshed and conflict.” Calling on society to act with common sense against provocations, he said: “Unlike those who invest in blood and chaos, we advocate winning together through brotherhood.” Stating that the process “will strengthen the belt of brotherhood and thwart all dirty schemes,” Erdoğan added: “Together with 86 million citizens, we will make the 21st century the century of Turkey. Let no one have any doubt; shoulder to shoulder, we will achieve these goals.”
