HDP meets with people in Urfa today for the ‘Now is the Time for Justice’ event

The rally that the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Urfa Provincial Organization wanted to hold first in Suruç and then in Halepli Bahçe, the center of Urfa, with the slogan “Now is the Time for Justice”, was not allowed. The party direction then turned the rally into a public meeting in front of the provincial building of the party. Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair Berdan Öztürk, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) co-chairs Keskin Bayındır and Saliha Aydeniz, HDP co-chair Mithat Sancar and regional deputies will attend the meeting, which will be held today at 12 pm.

For the public meeting to be held, HDP MPs Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, Nimetullah Erdoğmuş, Nusrettin Maçin, Ayşe Sürücü and Pero Dündar visited the tradesmen from the provincial building to Yıldız Square.

During the visit, HDP’s Gergerlioğlu listened to the problems of the tradesmen who said: “No one asks about the East. The AKP cannot go out in public. They are finished now.” Gergerlioğlu also chatted with citizens with disabilities. One citizen told the HDP deputy the many problems they have going around Urfa’s roads and added that none of their problems were resolved.

During the visit, the citizens congratulated Gergerlioğlu for his firm stance.

HDP Diyarbakır Deputy Remziye Tosun visited the tradesmen and the people in Suruç district and listened to their problems, while HDP Van MP Murat Sarısaç came together with the people in Viranşehir. Imam Taşçıer invited the citizens of Siverek to today’s meeting.
