Manbij Executive Council calls on international community to speak out against Turkish crimes

The invading Turkish state has recently increased its attacks on the villages of Manbij. The occupying state, which directly targeted civilians, has killed many. As a result of the invading Turkish state targeting a family’s house in Ain Issa, 4 members of the same family, including three children, were killed and two were seriously injured. The areas where civilians stay in the northwest of Manbij are bombed every day. The attacks of the invading Turkish state pose a threat to the lives of thousands of civilians.

Manbij Executive Council co-chair Mihemed Xêr Şêxo, told ANHA that the invading Turkish state’s violations, attacks and crimes against Syrian lands, especially the Northern and Eastern Syrian regions, continue to increase, and added: “The Turkish state is cutting off the water in Hesekê and reducing the water level of the Euphrates River. It targets the Northern and Eastern Syrian regions with artillery and rockets. The international community, on the other hand, remains silent against the massacres and crimes of the Turkish state against civilians. All this is done before the eyes of the world, which remains silent. The international community is ignoring the calls of the people of the region.”

Emphasizing that the invading Turkish state violated international conventions and laws with its crimes, Mihemed Xêr Şêxo said: “It harms neighbourly relations, which we attach importance to in our social agreement. We always want good relations with neighbouring countries. We have not attacked anyone from our region. We call on the international community and human rights organizations to end their silence and to end the crimes carried out by the invading Turkish state against the peoples of Syria and Northern and Eastern Syria.”
