Şenyaşar family banned and fined by the police

The resistance of Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in an attack by AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yildiz’s bodyguard and relatives, and Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attacks, continue their protests in front of the Urfa courthouse. The police attacked again during the family’s protest on Thursday.

The police attempted to arrest Ferit Enyaşar on the grounds that a banner had been hung on the barriers in front of the courthouse. Emine Enyaşar objected to the police attempt to detain her son. As a result of the family’s opposition, the police were forced to withdraw the custody order. As a result, Mother Şenyaşar picked up the flag and began the sit-in in front of the courthouse. Şenyaşar, lamenting here, told passers-by about their ordeal.

After a while, the Urfa Bar Association’s management and members of the Lawyers Association for Freedom (ÖHD) visited the family.

‘MURDERER ATTORNEY!’

In response to the police, Emine Enyaşar stated, “Why are you always next to us? Go and arrest the murderers! We’ve been demanding here justice for days. Don’t you have any mercy or conscience? You seized our banners. You’re now attempting to obtain this paper. Who will be harmed by this paper? There is no such thing as state justice anymore. How could a killer ever become a deputy? How much longer will you torture us?” she stated.

Under Article 42 of the Misdemeanor Law, the police fined Ferit Enyaşar for the banner.

The family’s protest in front of the courthouse is still ongoing.
