Sezin Uçar, Deputy Co-Chair of the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP), was detained on April 13 at Istanbul Airport while entering Turkey from abroad.
Lawyer Uçar was brought to the Istanbul Courthouse after the procedures at the Istanbul Provincial Police Department.
After giving her statement to the prosecutor, Sezin Uçar was referred to a Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for her imprisonment.
The court ruled that Sezin Uçar be remanded in custody on the allegation of “being a member of an illegal organization.”
