Preparations are underway for the fourth phase of the prisoner exchange to be carried out between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian transitional government.
Citing reliable sources, ANHA reported that the fourth group will include around 200 people.
Accordingly, the fourth phase of the prisoner exchange between the SDF and the Syrian transitional government is expected to take place next week.
The first phase of the prisoner release took place on March 10, 2026, when 100 people held by the Syrian transitional government and 100 people held by the SDF were mutually released.
In the second phase, which took place on March 19, 2026, 300 prisoners held by the Syrian transitional government were released in exchange for 300 people held by the SDF.
In the third phase, held on April 11, 2026, 400 prisoners held by the transitional government were released in exchange for 91 people held by the SDF.
