Representatives and co-chairs from all regions of Austria participated in the meeting, which brought together components from across the country, aimed to define the framework for the new phase of activities.
Extensive evaluations were conducted on the “democratic politics manifesto,” while participants showed a high level of interest and enthusiasm for this framework.
The role of communes, seen as the fundamental building blocks of a democratic society, and how they should be established were discussed in depth.
It was emphasized that the new phase of work should be carried out with an approach that includes all segments of society.
It was also agreed that a structure compatible with Austria’s federal system and legal framework should be established.
The meeting, attended by 45 council members from different regions, concluded with a decision to enter the new phase with strong motivation following intensive discussions.
Participants demonstrated determination to respond to the call for a democratic society.
At the end of the meeting, a coordination body for national construction was elected based on the principle of equal representation.
The elected members held their first meeting, planned training programs, and decided to conduct research to ensure that the structure would be shaped in accordance with Austrian law.
With the newly established coordination, the process of construction in Austria has officially begun.
As the next stage of the process, it is planned to hold a national congress by November.
