Turkish army shells a village near Amûdê

A village near Amûdê came under fire along the border between Rojava and North Kurdistan. According to available information, Turkish soldiers opened fire on Tuesday evening on the village of Behîra, located west of Amûdê.

According to reports, the soldiers positioned themselves on the border wall and shelled the area for approximately half an hour. No injuries were reported as a result of the attack, which, however, caused significant fear and anxiety among the residents of the village.

Outposts of the Turkish army frequently target residential areas along the border between the territory of Turkey and the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES). In January, soldiers fired from Nusaybin at a demonstration in nearby Qamishlo, injuring seven people.
