A delegation from the Ministry of Health of the Syrian Interim Government and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) visited the city of Kobanê.
The delegation, made up of health officials from the cities of Aleppo and Damascus and UNICEF representatives, was welcomed by the Executive Council of the city of Kobanê and representatives of the city’s health institutions.
During the visit, the health and humanitarian situation in Kobanê and the issue of children’s vaccinations were discussed. It was stated that a comprehensive vaccination campaign for children will begin in the coming days and continue until April 22. During the visit, the importance of improving coordination in the health sector to provide support to the population, improving the health situation, resolving problems, and ensuring the process of integration in all areas was emphasized.
