The Democratic Institutions Platform organized a picnic on the Kanarya seaside in the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul to mark Abdullah Öcalan’s 77th birthday. Three people were detained after a poster of Abdullah Öcalan was displayed at the picnic.
Afterward, Free Women’s Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad–TJA) activist Sebahat Tuncel was also detained. It was learned that Sebahat Tuncel, who was taken to Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital in Küçükçekmece for a medical examination, was released from the hospital without her statement being taken.
