An attack was carried out on the compound of the European Union (EU) representation in Duhok, in the Kurdistan Region. Another bombing targeted a Hashd al-Shaabi base in Khurmatu.
In a statement on Sunday, the EU Delegation to Iraq confirmed the attack, which, it said, did not result in casualties.
The statement added that EU representatives and diplomatic missions of member states strongly condemned the attack and called for those responsible to be held accountable.
It emphasized that attacks against diplomatic missions and official institutions constitute a crime.
On the other hand, a military base belonging to Hashd al-Shaabi was bombed in Khurmatu, in Kirkuk province.
No detailed official statement has yet been issued regarding the attack, after which security measures in the area were increased.
