Honor award for Rojava artists in Çemçemal

A ceremony was held at the Yarsan Culture and Social Association to honor and award a number of Kurdish national artists.

Herêm Kakeyî, head of the Yarsan Culture and Social Association, said: “Today we have gathered at the Yarsan center. We want to tell our enemies that the artificial borders you hope to maintain are gradually being removed. Today, artists from Rojava, Northern Kurdistan (Bakur), and Southern Kurdistan (Başur) are here, and we will present them with awards.”

Artist Luqman Selîm, who spoke afterward, said: “I am pleased to be in Çemçemal today. The Rojava Revolution has been a major turning point. Throughout history, Kurds have never been as united as they are today. The reason for this unity is the Rojava Revolution.”

Artist Delîl Mîrsaz also addressed the audience on behalf of all artists of Rojava Kurdistan and he said: “We are here with the warm spirit of the Rojava Revolution. The spirit of Southern Kurdistan has created a major transformation in Rojava Kurdistan.”

Nesrîn Botan performed the song “Jin Jiyan Azadî” (Woman, Life, Freedom) at the ceremony. Honor awards were presented to the artists at the end of the event.
