The Newroz Preparation Committee, which organizes Newroz events in the Cizîr region, made a statement. The statement, delivered in front of the Mihemed Şêxo Culture and Arts Center in Qamishlo, was read by committee member Şêrîn Dawûd.
The committee announced that Newroz will be celebrated tomorrow, 21 March, in the cities of Derik, Amude, and Girke Lege in the Cizîr region.
It also stated that Newroz celebrations in Qamishlo, Heseke, Dirbesiye, and Tirbespiye have been postponed, and will instead take place on 24 March at 11:00 a.m. at designated locations in those cities.
