The “Alliance of the Iranian Kurdistan Political Parties” issued a statement emphasizing the need for solidarity among the peoples of Iran and pro-democracy forces to overcome authoritarianism and move toward a democratic future.
In the statement, the Alliance stressed that a sustainable future for Iran can only be realized through the establishment of a democratic system based on the recognition of the national rights of its peoples, justice, equality, and the protection of fundamental civil liberties.
Referring to the long history of coexistence between Kurds and Azerbaijani Turks in several regions, particularly in Azerbaijan and Kurdistan, the Alliance stated that the future of these areas should be shaped through cooperation, shared local governance, and the guarantee of equal rights for all communities living there.
The Alliance also expressed its readiness to engage in dialogue and cooperation with the political forces of the Azerbaijani Turk nation and emphasized that strengthening cooperation among democratic forces and expanding dialogue among the nationalities of Iran are essential steps toward building a free and just future for all peoples of the country.
