HRANA: 1,298 civilians killed in attacks on Iran so far

According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), at least 2,420 people have been killed since the US-Israeli attacks on Iran began on February 28. Among the victims are at least 1,298 civilians. The remaining fatalities are reported to be members of the Iranian armed forces.

According to the report published on Friday, the killed civilians include at least 205 children and 29 women. In addition, at least 654 civilians have been injured in the attacks. However, due to restrictions on access to information caused by an internet blackout that has been ongoing for three weeks, the actual number of victims may be higher.

The report also lists around 600 deaths whose status has not yet been clearly determined. According to the organization, it is currently unclear whether these victims were civilians or members of the military.

UN: 22,000 civilian buildings damaged

In addition to military targets, Israel and the United States have repeatedly bombed civilian infrastructure and residential areas since the start of the war. The United Nations announced yesterday that nearly 22,000 civilian buildings in the country have been damaged so far by the attacks. Among them are more than 17,000 housing units, reported Salvador Gutierrez, representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tehran.
