The Kurdish Democratic Communities Congress in Europe (KCDK-E) issued a condolence message on the passing of Salih Muslim, a member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Co-Presidency Council.
The message said that Muslim was one of the pioneers of the democratic nation revolution developing in Rojava, noting that he displayed a steadfast stance against all kinds of attacks and pressures, and did not retreat from the line of struggle even during the most difficult periods.
The KCDK-E said: “We received the news of the martyrdom of PYD Co-Presidency Council member Salih Muslim with great sadness. The martyrdom of Muslim is a great loss for Kurdistan.
Salih Muslim was a revolutionary pioneer who dedicated his entire life to the freedom struggle of the Kurdish people and spared no sacrifice for this cause.
Muslim, one of the pioneers of the democratic nation revolution that came to life in Rojava, stood tall against all kinds of attacks and enemy assaults, and played his role with a determination to struggle against despair and submission. He did not take a single step back from the line of struggle even in the most difficult processes.”
