Attack on Hashd al-Shaabi in Anbar leaves 9 dead, 10 injured

Attacks against Hashd al-Shaabi forces in different regions of Iraq have continued since yesterday. Hashd al-Shaabi forces were attacked once again in Anbar on Thursday.

Citing Iraqi security officials, AFP reported that the base of the Ansarullah Awfiya Movement, affiliated with Hashd al-Shaabi and known for its close ties to Iran, was bombed in Anbar.

Sources reported that nine people were killed and ten injured as a result of the attack. The base was reportedly destroyed completely. Teams heading to the site to provide assistance were also attacked, meaning the number of dead and injured could rise.

Yesterday, attacks on Hashd al-Shaabi bases in Anbar, Mosul, Babylon, and Kirkuk left 52 people dead or injured.
