A statement issued by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) confirmed that Sîpan Hemo, a member of the General Command, has officially started his position as Deputy Defense Minister for the Eastern Region of the Syrian Army. This step, said the statement, demonstrates the commitment of all Syrian parties to supporting security and stability in the region.
The statement emphasized that the appointment was made within the framework of implementing the January 29 Agreement, pointing to goals such as addressing security challenges and combating terrorism, facilitating reconstruction and sustainable development, and protecting the interests of all Syrians.
The SDF also stated that this assignment aims to strengthen national cooperation at the highest level of military command.
