January 29 agreement
In the agreement signed on January 29 between the Autonomous Administration and the Damascus administration, it was agreed on the gradual integration of military and administrative structures between the SDF and the Syrian government.
Article 3 of the agreement stipulates that the Syrian Ministry of Defense will establish a military division for Heseke province and that SDF forces will be integrated into this structure in the form of three brigades.
Article 6 states that “the Deputy Minister of Defense shall be appointed upon the proposal of the SDF.”
One of the steps taken within the framework of the January 29 agreement was the appointment to the Heseke Governor’s Office.
