CPT: Iran and its affiliated groups attacked the Kurdistan Region 196 times

The Community Peacemaker Teams (CPT) organization published a report on the bombings and attacks carried out by Iran and its affiliated armed groups against the Kurdistan Region. According to the report, a total of 196 attacks and bombardments were conducted.

162 attacks targeted Erbil (Hewlêr), 26 attacks targeted Sulaymaniyah (Silêmanî), 5 attacks targeted Duhok (Dihok), and 3 attacks targeted the city of Halabja (Helebce).

43 attacks were carried out against the offices of Kurdish parties from Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhilatê Kurdistan) located in the Kurdistan Region.

58 attacks targeted the US Consulate General in Erbil and military centers and offices connected to the United States, while 95 attacks targeted hotels, civilian settlements, Peshmerga headquarters, oil fields, companies, and other civilian areas.

A total of 23 people were targeted in the 196 attacks: 4 people lost their lives and 19 were injured.

Of the 23 victims, 15 were in Erbil, 7 in Sulaymaniyah, and 1 in Duhok.

Among those targeted, 14 were members of Kurdish parties in Southern Kurdistan, while 6 were security personnel or officials who had no connection to any conflict.
