Aldar Xelîl: Kurdish delegation will hold talks with the Transitional Government

The Democratic Union Party (PYD) organization in Tirbesiyê held a public meeting with the people of the city and its villages.

Speaking at the meeting, which began with a minute of silence, PYD Executive Council member Aldar Xelîl evaluated the developments in the Middle East and said:

“Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) had analyzed all the planning of national and international states regarding the Middle East and knew that conspiracies would be carried out against the Kurdish people. For this reason, he initiated the Democratic Society process.”

Xelîl continued: “The changes that have taken place in Syria and the region have had a direct impact on the Autonomous Administration and the war waged against ISIS. In order to prevent the war in Syria from escalating, the 10 March agreement was made; however, many external powers wanted this agreement to collapse. The 6 January meeting in Paris marked the beginning of a new conspiracy against the Kurdish people. The conspiracy began with an attack targeting the ideas and principles of the Autonomous Administration and its democratic project in Syria. Likewise, efforts were made to sow discord between the Kurdish and Arab peoples.

After the attacks on Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyah, and the regions of North and East Syria, Leader Apo warned the Turkish state that the Peace and Democratic Society Process would collapse and the region would be dragged into a major war if the war in Rojava did not stop. For this reason, the parties involved in the Syria issue came together and reached the 29 January agreement.”

Stating that the Kurdish people will be part of Syria’s future, Aldar Xelîl said that the joint Kurdish delegation is expected to meet with officials of the Syrian Transitional Government to discuss the Kurdish issue.

In the talks with the Syrian Transitional Government, the Kurdish delegation will address the right to education in the Kurdish language, the situation of detainees, and the lifting of the siege imposed on Kobanê and its villages.
