The families of the martyrs of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” (Woman, Life, Freedom) revolution in Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan) published a condolence message for those killed during protests in Kermanshah, Ilam, and Lorestan, as well as for freedom martyrs.
The families stated that many similar experiences have been lived in Kurdistan, yet a free and just life can only be achieved in a free Kurdistan through unity, solidarity, collective struggle, and a clear stance by all advocates of freedom.
The message emphasized that freedom can be secured by avoiding all forms of monist thinking and by refraining from using the blood of martyrs for any ideological or political belief.
The families underlined that those who fell -from Maku to Lorestan- are martyrs of Kurdistan’s struggle for liberation and freedom.
Appealing to civil and political activists as well as political parties to use all their strength to directly build unity, the families said: “Without a strong and meaningful declaration of unity, despair will prevail over the Kurdish nation in Rojhilat Kurdistan, and occupation will lead to even greater fragmentation and division than ever before.”
