Nobel Prize–winning activist Narges Mohammadi transferred to Zanjan Prison

Lawyer Mostafa Nili stated that his client, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights defender Narges Mohammadi, was transferred from Mashhad Prison to Zanjan Prison.

In a message shared on the X platform, Nili said that Narges Mohammadi was subjected to violence during her detention and faced intense pressure and torture during interrogation. According to the lawyer, as a result of what she experienced, Mohammadi has been suffering from dizziness and has developed vision problems.

Narges Mohammadi was detained on January 12, 2025, in the city of Mashhad during a memorial ceremony for lawyer Khosrow Ali Kordi, along with activist Sepideh Qoliyan, Buran Nazimi, and five other activists, and was subsequently arrested.
