Aid sent from Amed reaches Kobanê

Humanitarian aid materials collected by the Amed City Protection and Solidarity Platform to be delivered to besieged Kobanê reached the city through the Çobanbey Border Gate. The shipment was transported by the Syrian Red Crescent. The convoy, carrying food supplies and basic needs, consists of 25 trucks.

Amed Chamber of Commerce نائب Chairman Erdal Afşar and lawyer Rihan Gök accompanied the convoy on its journey to Kobanê.

In its statement, the Amed City Protection and Solidarity Platform said that the aid—consisting of water, milk, baby formula, blankets, and basic food products—was collected in a short time thanks to the strong solidarity of the people and delivered safely to those in need. The Platform also thanked local administrations, civil society organizations, and volunteers who supported the healthy and coordinated management of the process.

Stating that the campaign is continuing with growing momentum, the Platform said, “As solidarity grows, hope will grow as well.”
