Kurdish delegation to travel to Damascus

Following the agreement signed on 29 January between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Interim Damascus Government and made public on 30 January, political contacts between the parties have intensified.

In addition to talks focused on the implementation of the agreement, political initiatives and contacts by Kurdish parties are also continuing.

It has been learned that the Kurdish delegation formed at the Rojava Kurdish Unity Conference, held in Qamishlo on 26 April 2025 with the participation of representatives of Kurdish parties, will travel to Damascus to hold talks.

Although the exact date of the visit has not been announced, it is reported that the visit will take place in the near future.
The delegation is expected to discuss the protection of rights, constitutional guarantees, the democratization of Syria, and freedoms with the Interim Damascus Government.
