The Suwayda National Defense Forces Command stated that transitional government forces launched attacks on the western regions of Suwayda from the morning hours until the afternoon. According to the statement on Friday, the attacks were carried out using artillery, mortars, and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
The Command reported that government forces targeted the town of Majdal with eight mortar shells while a group of soldiers attempted to enter the town of Mezreayê. Units of the National Defense Forces responded to these attacks.
Warning against disorder and provocations among the public, the Suwayda National Defense Forces Command urged residents not to give credence to reports containing incitement and provocation, and to follow information only through official sources.
