A delegation from the Kobanê Administration met with officials of Aleppo Governorate. During the meeting in Aleppo, the siege imposed on Kobanê, cuts to water, electricity, and internet services, as well as the situation of displaced people, were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Ferhan Hec Îsa, Co-Chair of the Executive Council of the Euphrates Canton Autonomous Administration, and Mizgîn Xelîl, Deputy Co-Chair of the Executive Council of the Euphrates Canton, along with institutional representatives and opinion leaders of Arab tribes. The delegation was received by Aleppo Internal Security Forces Commander Mihemed Ebdulxenî and Deputy Governor of Aleppo Elî Henûre.
The meeting, held in the wake of the agreement reached between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian Transitional Government, witnessed mutual commitments regarding the return of displaced people to their villages and the restoration of basic services. The parties stated that efforts would be made to resolve infrastructure problems such as water, electricity, and internet access.
According to Hawar News Agency (ANHA), the meeting proceeded positively. Both sides agreed on strengthening relations and jointly building a “new Syria.” It was also stated that the neglect experienced in Kurdish regions during the Baath regime era—particularly in the fields of language, culture, and public services—would be addressed.
