Ferhan Hec Îsa on Aleppo meeting: We addressed the siege on Kobanê

A meeting was held in Aleppo on Thursday between the Kobanê Administration delegation and the Aleppo city delegation. Following the meeting, Ferhan Hec Îsa, Co-Chair of the Executive Council of the Euphrates Canton Autonomous Administration, made a statement on behalf of the Kobanê delegation.

Stating that issues concerning Kobanê were addressed during the meeting, Hec Îsa said: “We emphasized that the current situation must be improved. We raised the siege imposed on Kobanê, as well as the problems related to water and internet access. Most importantly, the anger and dissatisfaction that have developed within society must be addressed and worked on. Another issue concerned the military presence at the border and in residential areas, which creates fear. In line with the agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian Transitional Government, these forces must withdraw, and the people must be enabled to return to their homes and properties, because the population is extremely exhausted.”

Stating that their demands were heard by officials of the Damascus government, Hec Îsa added, “In the coming period, the provisions of the agreement will be implemented on the ground.”
