Thousands of residents organized a march in Qamishlo as part of the “February 1 World Day of Solidarity with Rojava” events.
During the march, participants shared their views with ANF. A young woman from Qamishlo, Vîyan Mihemed, said: “These are our lands; we will not give them to anyone. With our lives and our blood, we stand behind our fighters. All Kurds must unite.”
Şîlan Omer, a member of the Hîlala Zêrîn Movement, also stated: “We salute the fighters on all fronts. As the people of Qamishlo, we are in the streets, and as musicians we have taken our place in the resistance and struggle of Rojava.”
Finally, Şukriye Osman said: “Today we have taken to the streets to embrace and support the resistance of our forces and our people. Today Kurds have become one heart in all four parts. We stand behind our fighters and our forces, and we tell the world that we Kurds will never bow down; we will always resist. Our primary slogan is ‘Berxwedan jiyane.’”
