SDF: Agreement signed on gradual integration and a comprehensive ceasefire

In a statement on Friday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Center said: “A ceasefire agreement has been signed between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) within the framework of a comprehensive agreement that provides for the gradual integration of the military and administrative forces of the two sides.”

The statement outlined the details of the agreement as follows:

“This agreement stipulates the withdrawal of military forces from contact points, the deployment of security forces affiliated with the Ministry of Interior to the city centers of Hasakah and Qamishlo, the launch of the integration process of security forces in the region, and the formation of a military division under the authority of the Aleppo Governorate, consisting of three brigades affiliated with the SDF and one brigade from Kobanê.

The agreement also foresees the integration of Autonomous Administration institutions into Syrian state institutions and the formal appointment of current staff to official positions.

In addition, the agreement guarantees the civil and educational rights of the Kurdish people and aims to ensure the return of displaced persons to their homes.

This agreement aims to achieve full integration in the region and ensure the unity of Syrian territory by strengthening cooperation between the relevant parties and unifying efforts toward the reconstruction of the country.”
