Şîrvan-born Kurdish artist Yelda Ebbasî (Yalda Abbasi), who was detained in Mashhad, has been released., who lives in Germany, had been detained by Iranian state forces while visiting her family’s home in Mashhad. It has been learned that the artist has now been released.
It was reported that Ebbasî was detained on the grounds of her activities during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” uprising and that she had been sentenced to one year in prison.
It was also stated that Ebbasî, who resides in Germany, has a one-and-a-half-year-old child and was detained while visiting her family in Mashhad with her husband and child during the Christmas holiday.
